Did you know you can freeze fresh cilantro? I’m sure you can freeze other herbs too, but I’m trying cilantro first. Of course, cilantro doesn’t grow in the mid-Atlantic in February, but we bought some at the grocery store for a recipe anyway, and ended up with a ton left over. Fresh herbs always seem to come in bunches much larger than what I can use before they go bad and I really hate letting good food go to waste. So I chopped up the rest and put 2 tablespoon portions in small bags to save for when we need it again. I love a good food-saving tip!
