This is Valentine.
We let the cats sleep in our room at night. That is, until one of them wakes us up, and then they get kicked out. Valentine likes to wake up between 3 and 5 am. When she wakes up, she’s trouble. She knocks anything she can find off of any flat surface. She walks around the bed. She purrs and gets in your face, like the picture above. This morning, we kicked her out around 4 am, as usual. Then she sat outside our door and meowed as loud as she could for an hour. Then she got tired and meowed as loud as she could while sitting in her cat perch down the hall until we got up. Her poor little voice was hoarse. Why does she do that? Wouldn’t a normal cat get board and give up on the meowing after say, an hour at most? Luckily we are getting good at sleeping through cat meowing.
